And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Amazing isn't a strong enough word! I've visited Egypt, been to Luxor. The huge stones there, far far above my head made me, like everyone else who's seen them, wonder how they ever got put there.
My Egyptian guide said that if one of those blocks should fall down, we do not have any current technology that could put it back up again; I believed him. The stone work was literally unbelievable, and made current construction projects seem like children playing with blocks in comparison.
This is the first time I've seen how these amazing structures actually could have been built, without bringing in aliens from outer space with anti-gravity!
